Co-Vid 19 Virus – Supporting our Communities

30th June 2020 – Covid 19 Update – Supporting our Wheel Meet Again Members

We will be delivering food & hygiene parcels to those of you who receive them on Thursday 2nd July 2020.  If you no longer wish to receive one then please let us know.

We would like to reassure our members that we are looking at ways that we can introduce activities or events to help you get out and about. However this must be  in a manner that keeps you safe, our volunteers safe and staff safe and conforms to Government and Health policies and guidelines.    We will keep you updated as soon as any plans are made.

In the meantime please continue to keep safe and well and hopefully we will see you soon.

With love from us all at South Central Community Transport and Wheel Meet Again.

25th April 2020 – Covid19 Update – Supporting our Communities

South Central Community Transport (SCCT), based in the heart of Liverpool 8, recently took the decision to offer a new range of measures to help residents city wide deal with the impact of the coronavirus.

To date our Charity has delivered 900+ food and hygiene parcels to people throughout the Liverpool Area who are at risk or self isolating at home and are unable to get vital supplies. We have been able to do this because of how our Community has pulled together and provided us with volunteer support, food and hygiene products and cash donations. We were initially hoping to raise £3000 but realised that a lot of people as well as self isolating are experiencing financial hardship and as a Charity we had to rethink this amount in order to not deter anyone from making a small contribution to our fund because of the unrealistic target.

Therefore, we are hoping to raise £1,500.00 to continue this service once per fortnight until we are unable to do so financially or until we can return to some sense of normality, as we realise many vulnerable residents and families will still be isolating, or may feel anxious or simply unable to obtain vital supplies.

We are also offering a twice weekly telephone check up service for any person who may just need a friendly voice to share any worries or concerns. To find out more or access our services, please contact us on 0151 703 0007 or email us at

In the meantime please all keep safe and well and thank you in advance for support in this vital service.

27th March 2020 – Covid19 Update – Supporting our Communities

As of yesterday, Thursday, 26th March 2020 staff of South Central Community Transport will be working from home in an effort to reduce the risk of virus transmission and ensure service continuity.  We will continue to offer a twice weekly telephone check-up service for any person who may just need a friendly voice to share any worries or concerns.  To find out more or to access our services, please contact us on 0151 703 0007 or email

Prior to yesterday, South Central Community Transport have over the last two weeks delivered 300+ essential food and hygiene parcels across Liverpool to help those who are at risk or may be self-isolating due to the Coronavirus pandemic.  We will continue to deliver a 3 weekly parcel service until such time as we are financially unable to do so, or until the pandemic is over.  We will therefore endeavour to seek donations and funds to assist with purchasing of vital goods and to further assist in running costs for our delivery transport service.  Part of this fund raising initiative is our “Just Giving Page”, we understand that a lot of us face financial uncertainty at the present time, so if you are able to spare any change, as every penny makes a pound, please follow this link:-

To everyone who has supported our food & hygiene initiative, either by donating food, volunteering, or donating financially… Thank you!  Without you, it would not have been possible.

From all our staff and volunteers here at South Central Community Transport, we send our love and best wishes and hope you all keep safe, until ‘Wheel Meet Again’
